Fleet carrier purchasing

anyone else unable to purchase a fleet carrier, i get a black adder error when trying to get one. or is it just me?

Haven't played yet today, but about 8 hours ago, I wasn't able to open the galaxy nor system map.

The galaxy map would become a black screen and the system map would freeze on the loading text animation.

I could exit both so the game worked, but I've never had this happen.

Went to sleep, not sure if it is fixed, but it could be connection to the server issues and if so it might be affecting you too.

havn't palyed the game in years, but errors such as orange sidewinder, or black adder " any other "Random colour + ship name" is usualy a server connection issue.

i can't be 100% sure tho, best would be to address a ticket to FD website if the issue persist

Can't be my internet connection as I never get any connection issues related to a simple purchase, definitely something either with a cap on fleet carriers or a bug that Fdev havent properly fixed yet

I'll try again later on today and see if it shows up again

I have submitted a ticket, may take a while as they have high volumes of tickets at the moment.

It does seem like a server bug, hoping it gets fixed next maintenance update

Doesn't necessarily have to be your connection. Could be anything else along the way of the packets, but could also be server sided.

The issue I had last night wasn't present today anymore.

I'll see if it occurs today after I finish work, I think there's server maintenance scheduled today anyway so hopefully it'll be fine

That sounds like a typical fob-off response to me, standard procedure even if they have no tickets, unless you can actually see how many tickets they have in their queue and know what the average is (not just what their system tells you it should be).

It wouldn't surprise me if they did genuinely have a high volume of tickets, given the numerous problems with the game since Odyssey launched.

Black Adder is probably the coolest sounding error message I've ever seen in a game though!

I'll jump on and try again, if not I'll go to another system and see if it works

EDIT: tried in the system i was to buy one, didnt work, jumping to a new system with a vendor to see if it works
