Coriolis or EDSY?

I get much bigger numbers in EDSY for shield strength (with resistances) than I do in Coriolis. Like with 60% thermal resist I'm seeing over 1000 more.shield strength.
I've always understood that over 50% resistance you get increasing diminishing returns and raw strength is better. Is this no longer the case?

I hear that EDSY is more accurate, and it seems to not count diminishing returns on resistances. Was this removed? Is EDSY wrong? Or Coriolis?

EDSY counts the number of pips you have to SYS and Coriolis doesn't.

If you set EDSY to 0 pips to SYS you'll see the numbers are exactly the same between the two.

I've also heard that the maths on EDSY are a little more accurate.
