The new Corsair

Is it an Imperial Crait Phantom?

It has tanky shields and plenty of straightline speed. Manuverability seems average on paper.
The jump range is something i don't understand. Baseline is crap but what is the max?
The baseline jumprange is higher than a Krait Phantom yet the Phantom can out jump anything except a Conda, Mandalay and DBX.

The ED page statistics are very misleading.

Just got one A rated everything (engineered to level 5) small shield stripped and I get 50Ly jump with a guardian #5 on it

Edit: I get just short of 80 Ly with a mandalay

So its about ~40Ly without a Guardian Booster? That's damned impressive.

The paint job colors for that ship are crap though, they all look dull as if they were water colors except the brilliant chrome and gold. Would be nice if they were like car paint. I wanted to change the baby blue that comes standard but they all look so bad I'm going to keep the ARX I have left

- If it's better than T8 for passenger missions

It has less passengers or cargo possibilities than the T8 so i don't know if that reply to your question.

It does.

Cause I'm using the T8 for passengers and Mandalay for exploration, so I'm not really sure if I will jump on the early access train to get this one.

Perhaps later down the line I'll find a purpose for it.

I believe it dethroned the krait mk2 as best AX ship so there is that.

It's an Imperial ship. Fat shields and high top speed. What is a lateral thrusters?
EDIT - i'm guessing and joking. I do not own a Corsair so i have no 1st hand experience.

So loaded up , everything I had left with cargo racks (216T ) and It gave me 35.2 Ly
Note that I have a #5 space for my guardian booster and a #6 scoop
