Still no Cobra Mk V for in game credits?
Cobra Mk V released on early access December 10, 2024 for ARX and still not purchasable in game for credits.

Was thinking the same thing according to inara,cz they said march and that none odyssey owners will still need to unlock it with arx ..?.

The Mandalay only recently dropped. We have to wait more for the Cobra V.

thx, but no thx...

it was said by FD that new ships should come for free 3 months after arx-sale start...seems not to apply to particularly popular objects...

and no i do not support this kind of practice

I'll support it if it keeps them creating stuff for the game. by saying you don't support this kind of practice, you are in essence saying you don't support the continued existence of the game.... hopefully there will continue to be enough that do to keep it going.

With the amount of Arx you made in several years of gaming, can't you just afford all of the ships?

my guess is the majority of people that play the game play like i do. I don't play constantly over the course of every year. I play other games and have a tendency to bounce between games. when i play, I play for a while then i move on to other things until i get an urge to play again, usually because of some youtube video.

I used to buy a lot from the Arx store back then, but after the huge price increases I stopped shopping there. I'm waiting for sales...

i just don't think the prices are reasonable. but that's for everyone to decide

FDev never said new ships would come 3 months after Arx sales start, though they may have mentioned specific models where this would be the case (Python Mk II?). Speculative claims by third party youtubers are not official FDev announcements.

If you have an actual FDev post or video please post a link to prove me wrong.

they can sale ships for real money, I have no problem with it.
but if you say that the ships come into the game for free after a quarter of a year, then you should stick to it and don't play stupid games with your customers

They never promised it. ARX Ships have typically dropped after ~3 months but the practise of not dropping a ship after 3 months is not unethical because they never promised to do it. Only that an Early Access ship will become available after some EA time.

The Cobra MkV is apparently available at Jameson Memorial. Have you looked there?

You say that, but they just keep creating whack stuff for the game - unbalanced cope ships for arx, colonisation with no real purpose besides more grind and spreading the playerbase even more thinly.
Fdev needs some management with vision and to stop listening to crazy people.

And I don't support fellow customers who throw tantrums and then complain about companies because they didn't get freebies (that an entire team of people had to work to create and be paid to do it) at the exact time when they wanted them.

The devs didn't state that the Cobra Mk5 would be available for free by now.



And if you want to talk "popular objects being withheld so that they can be sold" then it seems the statistics on Inara point at ownership numbers similar to those of the Cobra Mk4 (which was never popular, and sits at the bottom of the list). It is interesting to note that while the MK4 was restricted and said restriction likely affected its popularity (people who wanted it couldn't just get it), the Mk5 can be acquired by anyone and it's nevertheless almost tied with the Mk4, after multiple months. The Mandalay was the last ship sold for ARX before the Cobra, and it's way higher in the list.
