If you work a bit for me, you'll be able to buy your own carrier in short order. It's the carrier in Lu Bese, conveniently orbiting a body with a refinery port. I pay something like 70,000 per ton, forgot how high I set it.
I'd be willing to help but this is taking up all of my game time right now.
2261 steel
720 titanium
778 water
Plus 65 units of other random bits which I'll probably just do in a Cobra/Asp/T8 tomorrow...
My factions home system, has plenty of metal commodities (supply of copper/steel/titanium is measured in 100s of 1000s).
I'll load up a few extra thousand tons for you
I don't know how much time I'll have today, but tomorrow perhaps I'll see if I can get there.
Should have just jumped with my exploration ship and summoned my hauler near you...... 🙄
We learn from mistakes.
Anyway the initial platform is finished.
Fever has been kicking me down most of the day. I really appreciate the rally.
I got hyperdicted on two subsequent jumps. I would bet money that's impossible but it happened.
It's hard to actually find a shipyard that far out. There is only one Coriolis i know of and it's not exactly close by.
When i started the colony i wondered if it would even be possible to build it. Esp. using a Type 9.
I had to abuse a construction site landing pad halfway through in order to refuel.
In the end, T9 is faster than a T8 because of it's much larger capacity, and because both have similar jumpranges when fully loaded.
Nice going
I was just about to start loading my carrier back up lol. Almost finished mine now.
The first mine is nearly finished, only 295t of Steel to go, and the refinery Hub is close to completion too. More mines will be added once the construction points pour in.
I'm also adding sats and comms stations, and later a Government installation to help control the security and standard of living issues.
A compromised Nav beacon is like a broken window on the house, and a rusty car on the lawn.
Very inviting.
Put a shout out if you need another helping hand, otherwise I'll be 30 jumps away on the Western side of the bubble exploring.
Since the link-based changes were introduced, even the orbital Military Outpost offered a broad mix of minerals, metals, refined products and some military goods. Now with a planetary port, there's a large landing pad available.
I'd have done it sooner but i was sick at first, then distracted by fighting in Dhan and a Coriolis colony i claimed somewhere else. And yes, those Coriolises suck hard.
Big thanks again to Merkenjian who finished the initial colony.
I'm dissapointed however that the p. port currently isn't offering any CMM. That was the most important comodity i wanted because the nearest one is still 213ly way in civilized space, or 160ly away in the Pleiades where hyperdictions are a regular and annoying occurance.
Maybe adding another Refinery HUB will help. Right now the port is linked to two extraction settlements and one hub, so the extraction economy dominates.
No Alu either, which is kinda bizzare for a fairly large market on a rich planet.
Planet is a high-G world so watch your step if you pay a visit.
Just by the way, i've done the last few deliveries in a Type 8, landing from the orbital and taking off again.
It's really nice when the orbital is almost on top of your construction site so all you have to do is enter SC and descend to a glide.
Also the only time a T8 beat the T9 in tonnes per hour! The T9 needed 15 minutes to make a 5 jump trip delivering 768t. The T8 could finally beat that and deliver 2x 400t in less than 15 minutes.
Again, thanks for the help. Maybe some day there will be CMM in Synuefe/Hyades ^^
