Finding geological sites
I need help to find geological sites o7

Im trying to do a 100% finding in the hawkings gap region. I now need to find and scan geological sites.
I'm well aware that the DDS heatmap the sites. But i don't tend to find any. ive ben cruising in ship and srv for 30 minutes straight, to find nothing.
Does any commander have some knowledge or tricks, to find gelogical sites?

The sys map will show if a planet has any geo or bio signals.

If it does, then you map it

After you map it, on the same screen, cycle through the filters.

Land in the teal coloured areas.

I know that. But when I DDS a planet, should i go for the blueish color? Ive ben flying around for 1 hour straight now, eithout finding anything
What kind of resources are you looking for?

Teal

Dark blue and light blue are not good. Teal zones are the best.
You still have to find the things, even in teal zones.

Have you tried driving around in a SRV? Because it has a scanner on board.

Teal coloured areas, as I specified.

It's all blue.

when I am specifically looking for bio or geo I like to use either my type 6 or my asp explorer. They are medium ships so they can land easier. That way I can just cruise and look out on the ground because of the place where the pilot sits (sorry, can't use the actual word because its flagged as a dirty word sometimes.) But don't get too high. I will also open up my scanner, can't remember what it is though and sometimes that just picks something up (it beeps and lights up.) also may help to use the night vision. Hope it helps. Always look at the "middle" color.

Same here, I can just barely tell there's parts of the scan different colours but its so slight!
I've only seen light blue, and blue teint. never seen "teal". never seen a greenish blue color. lol. color blindness?

This shot is mostly teal, with small patches of light and dark blue.

You will find the targeted item (bio/exo) in the teal areas

Other times it's reversed, with no colour at all, or mostly shades of blue with tiny pinpoints or mottled areas of teal.

This shot has small patches of teal amongst the small patches of light and dark blue

The teal stretch is particularly noticeable if you follow the ship's nose towards the top-right of the image, and stop about 1/2 way to the edge of the pic.
