How do player stations impact power play?
Just wondering if anyone knows how exactly player owned stations impact power play? do they give you a significant advantage or do they not really interact with the PP system?

You've probably got to turn it into an attractive PP prospect first.
No advantage, no disadvantage ; player-colonized systems works exactly the same as pre-made systems. Why would it be otherwise ?

It will be another system where you can carry out powerplay tasks.

Players don't own stations. They can build them. Do all the work, pay for everything. But never own or control. Though i suppose someone could cripple a system out of spite, but all they'd get is a slightly crummier system.

I guess it does help in the way you can design systems to play into power play, and what we'll probs see is people filling out the space in their powers current territory with more systems that will have populations now and hence be able to be acquired and used to strengthen existing controlled systems around them?

But I guess technically speaking as a CMDR you're like a property manager/landlord? you claim the space and make the property, but its occupied and run by your tenants, and hence you get the passive income, and unfortunately don't get direct control over the facilities, but still have little perks here and there...

Yeah, that's a good way of putting it.

Commanders also earn money building the system, so it's not like they will take a loss on the deal. Plus it's fun to be the architect and actually try to develop a system.

But i wonder how many systems a manager can manage at the same time? Because the time required is going to cause a lot of people to burn out.
Just as well much of the work can be passively delegated to other commanders.

It's almost as if Frontier thought this through.
