Ground Combat Bond Pay
So I was watching this video about Ground Conflict Zones and decided to do the same thing, but my combat bond payout is not nearly as much as the person in this video. I'm only getting a few thousand credits per kill, while the person in this video is getting anywhere between 30k to 80k....."each." He ends up with about 15 million at the end of just one CZ.

What am I doing different or wrong? At first I thought it was the intensity of the CZ being too low, (something else I had to look up because that was changed to "threat" now, just like missions previously using career ranks instead) but I just did another one at Threat 3 and I'm still getting the same amount.

Now, I know threat levels can go up to 9 or something in missions, maybe....5 or so in signal sources, and I read on Reddit that "threat" levels 1, 2, and 3 represented the old low, medium, and high intensity of the CZs before the change. (Because forget consistency, apparently, lets all use the same terminology but have the highest number be different depending on the context, ugh) So if I'm doing the highest threat, level 3, what else am I missing? (Which TBH doesn't really feel that hard since I'm only at Grade 3 and am able to turn the tables from a losing side.....so I know I got to be missing something.)

I even just go to Rookie level in the Merc career, if that matters. AFAIK career rank only alters mission pay, not combat bonds from CZs.

Okay, that explains threat level. So where the heck can I find high intensity? Or will only Frontline Solutions tell me?

Even if I wanted to use Fronline, the problem is every time I go to them in a system with conflict zones, they keep telling me they're at peace. Despite the system clearly in Civil Unrest or at War. I"ve seen them active once before, but that was before I was trying to do these.

You can go to Frontline, look at their map to see which ones are high intensity, note those and fly to those sites yourself.

If Frontline says they are at peace, that means the war has ended. If the system is still showing a war then there the daily update (tick) likely has not fully propagated to that system yet. Within a few hours, the war state should go away.

best chance to find high surface conflict sites it to go system where is lot of people living and multiple landable planets. also system needs to have big stations or big bases on planets, so it is relatively easy to find one when you know what you need to look at.
So only the big stations will be active? I've been having strange bad luck with stations saying they're at peace, even if the CZs are in the system.

Got it, TYVM.

When you get to Frontline this is what you are looking for.

And ground ports.

Also bear in mind the galmap (not system map) will only show a War in a system if the controlling faction is involved. (Same with every other galmap system state)

The best way to find a nearby war is using Inara.

I'm aware of Inara. Thank god it exists after EDDB shut down.

Anyway, I'm probably going to have to try this later, now that I'm pretty sure I wasn't in a High intensity CZ, I probably won't survive with only Grade 3 stuff. At least I know what I have to do now.
