Core mining trouble.

It could just be my horrible luck. But I've gone out Void Opal mining around 5 times, and have found two void opal asteroids. Every single hotspot I've checked including my previous mining spots has had low temp diamonds, and all the other garbage that tends to be in cores. Am I going insane? Or did something change?

Just luck.

A hotspot just means more of the cores will be the named type, but not all.

If you're seeing a lot of dust clouds it means someone else got them already. Cores respawn after about 3-4 days.

That is part of core mining, it's a frustrating thing to love. But that kaboom is very nice.

It is hit and mostly miss. I've gone out, hit the spot and first rock, got one. Then no more for 30+ minutes.

one thing to be mindful of, VO and LTD prices got nerfed a while back and youre not gonna get the 1M+ per unit like you used to. If/when I go mining, I look up inara and find out what is trading for the most. Things like Alexandrite, rhodplumsite( spelling? ) etc.

While core mining i think is the most fun and offers the best sounds, I am pretty sure laser mining platinum merits more credits per hour.

Don't forget to choose a system to mind that is out of the way. Meaning remember how the game, regardless of your play (open, private, team[or group, I don't remember what it is called]), is the same between them. So, if you are looking at a well-known system, you are competing against other players.

I used to do core mining back when you could get 700k per ton of opals or low temp diamonds no matter the demand, but now it just doesn't seem worth it. Can get a full cargo load of other high value resources faster just laser mining.

Quite a few of the metals and minerals can sometimes sell as high ~700K/unit.
Those prices can often be found in non-saturated systems in boom state. (average is 350K)
-recently saw some high prices in the busy bubble too; checking stations first is a good idea.

Dont worry , actually the algo of farm mining and exobio are broken i think since 1 years .. It s not "Luck" .

I started mining there are 5 years ago and so many astéro with opal and diamant but actually nothing , sames on the exo discover...

Dont worry , actually the algo of farm mining and exobio are broken i think since 1 years .. It s not "Luck" .

I started mining there are 5 years ago and so many astéro with opal and diamant but actually nothing , sames on the exo discover...

I've just been laser and core mining tonight, no issues.
