Is multi crew just pilot and gunner?

Its not like pilot and navigator or where you can give multiple hard point controls over to one one person?

Love to be able to have the pilot and main gun for on person and logistics, tracking, scanning and navigation on the other.

They can use turrets and fly SLF, that's about it. MC is, sadly, pretty gimped. You can't drive SRVs together from one MC ship, the owner of the ship can't SLF while MC CMDR pilots, etc.

I took a friend out to the Sentinel sites in my T10, thinking we could SRV it together. After a couple hours drinking and jumping we find that can't be. lmao.

Better to do actual phyiscal multicrew than telepresence multicrew, then you can both get SRVs out as well.

Also, i think in multicrew the second person can also scan planets with the DSS?

You can fly an SLF as helm in MC. (we tested this during the last titan)

Yes. It is quite interesting when you find those planets where "First discovered" lists two names.

Physical multicrew is unfortunately still a bit finicky and often requires either static IP and/or port forwarding. Super fun when it works tho. :D

I wouldn't say often. Finicky, yes, but no more than telepresence. If you can stably telepresence with someone, then you can probably physically multicrew with them.

Overall, i haven't had much problem at all teaming up with the people i know regardless of mode of doing so. I'll admit, not done a ton of it, but when i have, it has worked.
