New player wishing to experience latest THARGOID content.
Hi guys,

I am still a newish player (under 30hrs). It seems like the game is coming to an end. I would like to experience the latest Thargoid events. But don't want to play for another 200hrs just to get there. Is there anyway to get there asap and enjoy my time with community before its too late?

Well, if you're talking about the Titans, they're gone. All eight have been destroyed so for the meantime, you can't fight those. Only visit their ruins.

It's unknown if we'll ever see live Titans again.

As for "the game coming to an end"

No, not at all. In fact we've got an entirely new feature arriving next month. The scene has changed and it's still unclear in what way, exactly.

Wow, too bad I missed out. They look so scary though. I would definitely like to visit the ruins. Wish I could participate in the fight against TITANS.

What would you recommend I do now until the new content arrives?

Right now the galaxy is in a bit of a weird state. Thargoids do still exist in the Pleiades Nebula, but it's very much of the early days nature: Signal sources and only weaker variants. No Titans, no glaives and the like and no missions.

Consider it hunting Thargoids purely for sport.

As for the bubble? Well as I mentioned there's a new feature: Colonisation. It's what it says on the tin. I'm not going to be surprised if this involves Thargoids somehow following some recent findings, but that's pure player speculation and nothing confirmed at all.

I doubt that things will be quiet for long though simply due to the community that's built around AX combat. If nothing is done to bring things back for them then there's a lot of players who, I suspect, will be questioning what the game has to offer long-term.

So, for now I'd just do whatever. Probably focus on building up your ship/ships given you're new. It'll come in handy for whatever the next big bang is.

Thanks for the advice and in depth info. I shall kit a ship for any future THARGOID fights. Not sure how long it would take.

Honestly, compared to some builds, AX ships are relatively low on engineering. This mainly boils down to the weapons, which are largely tech-broker unlocks. As for off-the-shelf AX guns? Can't be modded at all.

There's plenty of information available online. For now I'd focus on something built for fighting interceptors given those do actually still exist somewhere.

Understood boss, AX ships and go after tech-broker unlocks.

Yep. A lot of those will involve visiting the Guardian ruins. They're an experience in their own right so savour them while there. And put some point defence on any utility mounts on the topside of your ship. Trust me, it's handy at those.

I got interdicted yesterday by thargoids near the coal sack nebula in the dark named sector. When I escaped and jumped again, there were quite a few non human signal sources where I ended up. They're still out there.

Must be a scary feeling when that happens.
