2. Yeah we need better AA, not gonna lie. Doesn't help the game defaults to downscaling so newbies get confused why everything looks worse than normal. I wish we had DLSS and DLAA, but even just an updated version of amd's solution would be fine.
Use supercruise assist and/or SCO drives.
Use supersampling 1.25x, and/or Nvidia's own downscaling mode to render at higher resolution and scale down, and/or Nvidia's FSAA on top of the games own AA.
there's literally a keybind for "Set throttle to 75%"
If you miss a station it's b/c you're too lazy to look at your controls
It's not. Just some people look for anything to complain about.
1) Having to ascend from a planet´s surface in supercruise at mind-numbing glacial speeds because the destination system is on the far side, preventing an immediate jump. Or perhaps even worse if it becomes accessible shortly after 2 seconds of SC slog.
2) Having to watch the hardpoint porn upon removing them. Not really as annoying because I personally like those animations still.
Sounds like the usual productive pastime.
Have you not fitted an SCO drive? Solves this problem in like 0.5 of a second.
Agreed. They need to re-enable the UI while this hardpoint animation is playing. I often use Store Multiple instead to avoid it.
It's almost as irritating as an animation to get out of your chair and walk to the back of the cockpit every time you want to leave your ship.
I actually haven´t. Sounds like a fun solution.
I thought my CMDR was being carried by his Imperial slaves. What´s the point of owning a Cutter if I have to walk myself?
It works like a dream. One tap on the boost button and the planet is a speck in the distance, and your target system is naked and revealed.
I'd pay good money to have a bunch of slaves ... I mean indentured employees with their own free will ... carry me across most hangars at a trot.
As long as it´s not a one-way carry in something long and box-shaped.
They did change something though. Last few weeks, when outfitting, I noticed that I only had to wait for the animation to start before I could click on the next hardpoint and modify it. I didn't have to watch the whole animation every time, like it used to be. It's not instantaneous though.
That's my biggest annoyance with Elite: the hangar.
So if we can't get rid of it, I'd absolutely love if they added a little golf-cart that picks you up and drives to/from the elevators. Even a couple of conveyor belts would do.
