Aisling's Angels

We, Aisling's Angels, are a group that is dedicated to support Princess Aisling Duval and increase her influence in imperial space. We stand by her position on the state of imperial slavery. While many in the imperial society condemn her actions as a "fruitless endeavour" (Galnet, 23 January 3301[www.elitedangerous.com]), we continue to support her vision of an Empire free of the inhumane chains of tradition that holds it back from becoming a shining beacon across the galaxy.

Despite facing difficult opposition, Princess Aisling Duval continues to strive for a better Empire and as her Angels we will continue to support her however we can.

The Fight Against Imperial Slavery

Imperial slavery has been a long practiced tradition in imperial society but it should not be something that defines the Empire. The majority of Imperial Citizens rely heavily on Imperial Slaves as the means to support a pompous lifestyle at the expense of the labor of billions (Galnet,6 March 3301[www.elitedangerous.com]). While it is considered more honorable to submit oneself to slavery than to live a life with debt, the living conditions however vary from one slave to owner another with most imperial slaves living a large portion of their lives in servitude while others struggle to escape debt even after serving their time as slaves.

Stop Slavery Stupid (SSS) is an anti-slavery movement under the influence of Princess Aisling Duval which was met with opposition from Senator Zemina Torval's Imperial Slavers Association (ISA) in response to the challenge against Torval that, we, Aisling's Angels issued (Galnet, 1 April 3301[www.elitedangerous.com]). The situation quickly turned into a head-to-head competition between Princess Aisling Duval who sought to free the Imperial Slaves and Zemina Torval who sought to increase the amount of Imperial Slaves using unregulated slaves. Even though Princess Aisling Duval was ever confident that her supporters will triumph against Torval's slavers (Galnet, 30 March 3301[www.elitedangerous.com]), the SSS was unable to dominate competition against the ISA. Unfortunately, Zemina Torval was victorious with 2,387,576 Unregulated Slaves legalized by the ISA against the 1,149,756 Imperial Slaves freed with the help of the SSS. The net result was the addition of over a million Imperial Slaves to the market due to Torval's triumph. However, the sheer amount of Imperial Slaves freed with the help of Princess Aisling Duval is a testament to her increasing amount of support, demonstrating her strong influence amidst opposition (Galnet, 8 April 3301[www.elitedangerous.com]).

While a number of pilots only see the state of the galaxy as a game or a means to make a profit, Aisling's Angels will persist to find ways to promote the creation of the slave-free Empire that Princess Aisling Duval envisions.

Princess Aisling Duval

Princess Aisling Duval is the daughter of Harold Duval, son of Emperor Hengist Duval. The princess is known to be an advocate against imperial slavery and a champion for humanitarian aid. In early 3301, she has been seen supporting systems in crisis such as Furbaide during the Volungu Blight outbreak (Galnet, 24 February 3301[www.elitedangerous.com]) and Quivira after the controversial incursions lead by Senator Denton Patreus (Galnet, 13 May 3301[www.elitedangerous.com]). While Aisling's influence within imperial politics is not as strong as her more prominent opponents, she continues to garner increasing support from the Pilot's Federation as systems continue to pledge their support (Galnet, 19 May 3301[www.elitedangerous.com]) and her actions become more visible to the galaxy.

Angels' Ethos

Aisling's Angels is a peaceful and humanitarian group. While we generally look down on armed conflict, our Guardian Angels do not shy away from armed intervention for the sake of peace. We may contribute bounty-based assistance to established system security or provide security escorts to traders within our area of influence.

We expand our influence through social, financial, and humanitarian means. While we may focus on expanding Princess Aisling Duval's influence across the galaxy, we will also provide assistance to systems in need of aid.

Aisling's Angels is continuously in expansion and open for recruitment in an effort to organize and consolidate Princess Aisling Duval's supporters from the Pilot's Federation. We welcome anyone who is interested in providing their support and assistance not only against the other prominent powers and figures in the galaxy, but also for the promotion of charitable aid and the pursuit of a virtuous humanity.
