I don't know your specs but I've experienced 0 latency, movement are the same as when I had my G2 plugged into the video card via display port. Sorry to hear you have problems
You will probably have to buy a separate router for VR
1-You plug in the little box of the cable with your original headset charger and cable, 2- then the headset 3- then plug it in your computer (USB-3 or higher) and enable cable link. (not WIFI) It will charge while you play
Btw, it's definitely better to have your comp " wired " to your router instead of using wifi

I use a powered Link cable for mine and Occulus Debug tool and can play for hrs.Clean picture and smooth sailing even with my 3080ti
You can create a Elite Dangerous shortcut in your desktop and add this at the end of the EDLaunch.exe at the Target tab.
/vr /autoquit
I'll launch Elite and bypass Steam and go right to your game with Meta
"D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Elite Dangerous\EDLaunch.exe" /vr /autoquit
I put Meta as my OVR Runtime
I've had this on no man's sky, even with just one eye, not just up down but any time any side I moved my head it was like I was stoned or something lol. I gave up on that game in VR it's so full of bugs for VR it's ridiculous.
But it's the only game I can't play VR. It's not a hardware issue I can reassure you on that, I have a pretty good rig (specs in my profile) Has to be a sync issue with the headset I haven't found the problem yet
