Also, does the mission text say you have to get them from a specific spot? It will also tell you which resources to pick up. (Each of the three types can only be delivered to one of undermining, acquisition, reinforcing)
I have now found this unoccupied system (the second link above). It says that under Local Activities to contribute, there is: Transport Powerplay Commodities. So I flew to the nearest fortress and took 15 dissidents and 15 supplies. But now I have no way to contribute.
Unoccupied = acquisition, which means you probably needed the third type of commodity.

one of the two you have is for reinforcing, the other is for undermining.

Not this one, it's just a case of taking the right item.
And 'most' is not accurate. Many have quirks or specific requirements that people aren't aware of. E.g. trying to turn in undermining reports in a system which isn't being undermined.

^^
1) So, Desidents is for undermining, Supplies is for reinforcing, and Publicty is for acquisition?
2) Another thing—in the link you provided (very helpful, thanks), there are three versions, for example: Transport Power Commodity A, Transport Power Commodity R, and Transport Power Commodity U. What do these three letters ARU mean?
3) In this system, I collected a few Collect Escape Pods—I went into Power Contact, they accepted it, but I didn’t receive any merits (apart from money). On the map, I also see that nothing has changed, the system still has 0. Will this change during the weekly tick, or is there another reason?
I might be wrong, I've not looked at Sighmans link (or even PP2.0 yet)...
However I would assume the "A/R/U" bits stand for Acquire/Reinforce/Undermine?
Any enemy controlled system is the Undermining activity
Any Unoccupied system *within range of a friendly stronghold or fortified* is Acquisition activities. When you select an unoccupied system on the galmap, it will tell you if it's in range or not. Or click a system and click the Strategic View icon on the lower right.
Any friendly-owned system is Reinforcement
If any of you are into complex board games, learning the rules for powerplay 2.0 is no different. It takes time, there's quite a bit to learn, and I recommend unpicking one activity at a time (e.g. reinforcing)
Yep the new version gives me a reason to do things. The old version was 'here's your 750 tons of leaflets, gimme modules, bye'
