Elite Dangerous

Elite Dangerous

Third party tools
Can anyone recommend any downloadable tools to help navigate the universe. Particularly for exobiology or trading?

I don't like downloadabke stuff, call me paranoid. However Inara is a website that is super handy.

These two places have as good of a summary as you will find:
https://newp.io/thirdpartytools
https://edcodex.info/?m=tools

My personal favorite websites are Inara.cz, Spansh.co.uk, and Edsy.org & Corriolis.io

My favorite downloadable tools are ED Odyssey Materials Helper, ED Market Connector, Observatory, and EDDiscovery.
EdCopilot is a tool many recommend.
I will say, voice attack and HCS Voice packs make the game amazingly better.

I agree as well. I use it all the time!!! It is also very configurable. Once I had it set up to the way I wanted it, it became even better. Very handy for eco.

I have looked at EDDI, EDcopilot, EDMC, and EDDiscovery. There seems to be a lot of feature overlap though and I'm not sure what i should choose and what i should run
Essential tools for me are: Inara, spansh.co.uk, Voice Attack, EDCopilot, Covas Next, ED Market Connector, Exploration Buddy, SRV Survey and EDHM UI.

if you do exobiology ED Observatory is a good one i like EDMC and EDDI for every day flying but for a single addon EDCopilot has to be the best just get Spacedesk and any tablet as a second monitor to put it on. then there is touch portal to turn any tablet into a button box and in todays world who doesn't have 5 crappy old 7-10 inch tablets around to do this with.
I use ED Discovery whenever I go out into the black.

For me, it depends upon what activity I'm doing; no need to run everything all the time.

Thanks for the replies. Ed copilot on a secondary tablet sounds great. I'll try that out later
I use EDMC to keep the websites up to date, track my inventory etc... Recently started using EDCopilot, mainly for the little voice telling me when I've driven far enough away from a previous sample yet. But also just so I've got a foul mouthed assistant blurting obscenities at me occasionally... There's a few different settings for this, you can even program your own phrases... So of course I filled mine with things like "smeg head", and "beltalowda" :steammocking:
