Warning: logging off while on a carrier !
When I logged off yesterday, I was on a carrier where I had just sold bio data.

This morning when I logged on, I was still on the carrier but could not find the other carrier I wanted to go to for selling cartography data. I looked in the system where I am and couldn't find it until I zoomed in using the bookmark. It was now 49 jumps away !

I could not understand why it was so away. Then I realized I was still on the same carrier as last night but no longer in the same system. The carrier had jumped away carrying me and I saw no warnings, nor notifications of this.

I realized that next time before logging off, I should get off whatever carrier I am to not get carry away to some place where I maybe could not get back to where I was.

So, just a warning for you guys.

Heh, yeah, don't log off on random carriers. You never know when the owner might decide to jump somewhere.

Similar thing happened to me, I was planning to hitch a ride to Colonia so I transferred some of my ships to the carrier, but I ended up missing the flight and now I'm waiting for my ships to come back, I'm not willing to pay the transfer

Unfortunately the carrier owner has no way of knowing you were on board (outside of third party sites, assuming you both are registered and updated) and no way of notifying you of the jump if you are not in game when the jump is ordered.

You get a 15 minute warning in-game if you're docked on a carrier that's going to move.

If you're not in game, how would they warn you?
