If the carrier moves and nobody syncs the system or new location, it'll show where it was before.
But normally there are fleet carriers in most systems around the bubble. Which one were you looking at?
Apologies this was last night that I was searching, I cannot remember the system name but the carrier was called Fuso. I was trying to get a broad perspective of how to search for them in game as I'm still really new to the game. Thanks for the reply
Your method for finding fleet carriers is correct in all other regards, they'll show up on both the FSS (with no tuning) and the standard list of in-system stations etc.
"Legacy" means "not playing Odyssey or for some reason using a copy of the game that has not been updated".
No, the game has two galaxies: one for legacy horizons and consoles, and the other for horizons live and Odyssey.
Inara only shows info on the live/odyssey galaxy.
I just looked up Fuso, and it was most recently updated on the 10th December. The carrier owner has never registered it with Inara, so it won't update automatically either.
If you need a carrier for some other reason, my explorer alt has one called The Golden Lyre and it's parked in Luchtaine nearby.
I'm playing odyssey but on solo while I learn the game. In inara search I have been keeping the searches down to hours for trade routes but cannot remember if i set it while station searching. Are there stations deep out like 1000s of ly away from starting position. I get the impression all life revolves around the starting position
Ok thanks for searching it up
I didnt realise there is a fleet carrier tax. The only reason I went to fleet carriers was they were the nearest places I could land to sell data. Being early on I haven't got a ship with a monster FSD yet. In the end I just flew back to where my other ship was stored and continued trading.
So most of the game is there, but it is pretty big. Not locked down to the starting area.
The deep space is endlessly huge.
I've just been using inara to help out with trade routes and outfitting etc.
At some point I will venture thousands of lightyears into the wild 😜
