I've checked it myself at 2 overlap locations. Don't take my word for it check it out for yourself. HIP 22352 and Col 285 Sector KM-V d2-106 are gone. It is happening.

Not just the hotspots but the entire ringed planet, but as I said check for yourself.

they are not.
i have a few points to say on this "rumor"
1- that task is an insane amount of work. your talking 100's of years of work to manually remove all overlapping hotspots.

2- overlapping hotspots are not as good as they used to be years ago. they where nerfed in 2020 so their is not even a need to remove them

3- mining is rather balanced and has not made a crazy amount over other activity's is a while. its still the best. but only by a small amount.

4- dont believe any info you see on the game that does not have a valid source of the info. elite and fdev right now are getting crazy amounts of hate because of the bad odyssey launch and when that sort of thing happens its in some peoples nature to start lying and make up false info to make the game seem worse (i dont understand it but it happens to every game that has a bad launch/ update)

It´s nothing new that the devs. removing nerfed overlapping hotspots.

Let´s think about triple hotspots which got some removed nerfed in the past, because people could earn to much money in a short time.

Go to the 2 locations and you will see for yourself. Frontier has done this in the past with triple overlaps. Now they are apparently unhappy with double overlaps as well.

Noone removed anything. I think OP (fairly confident that's the case) had a first encounter with a feature in the game. He probably died before selling exploration data containing maps of the said 2 systems, then came back and saw the ringed planets 'gone'. They're not gone, you have to scan them first for them to show up on system map.
