*ANY* metallic ring will have laser percentages for Platinum, but the hotspots will spawn a very high frequency of rocks with higher than average percentages. I generally find more than 5 rocks with 66.7% Platinum within 45 minutes, quite often clustered in close proximity.
If you'd like a system to check out -- 21 Eridani (anarchy, pristine, and very very near to BGS Markets which pay 250-290K for it).

My suggestion is tomine in HazRes at Lalande - stay 16-20 away from the hazrez center and mine for the bonus chunks. htere is a list, oh btw your ship needs to be combat cappable for hazres otherwise just use a normal hotspot in the link i shared.
