Your game performance will likely take a hit if you take on busy FPS combat missions on foot, unless you have a recent spec machine. It can be a bit random though. My Alienware 1070 i7 manages fine. Even my old 1050gtx i7 laptop can run it on high settings (again, no FPS combat zones).
I doubt that you will hate it, because the core gameplay is still there. I'd approach it not looking for an FPS shooter, but view it as an extension to Horizons that maybe should have always been there?
Don't know if it's fixed, but last I tried, all of your keybindings get wiped when you switch.
