Anyway, small size ships are like motorcycles. Sure, they're fun to ride in, but you don't get a trunk to carry things in so you'd better not plan on transporting much.
And if something bad happens, you are your own crumple zone.
Bumper sticker on the back of a T9 Heavy: "I don't break for Sidewinders."
Not remotely, way too much of a chonker at over 4x the mass of a Courier. Cobra V is a midget Medium that ought to be much more sluggish than it is. More heavily armored, larger, and extra C2, and 2 more seats than a DBS . . . yet also lighter and faster. Hurray powercreep!
I don't spacetruck.
Otherwise, something massive, epic and visually rich. Less of the sleek, plane-like vibe of Cutter, rather with a mix of both angular and smooth design elements. Monumentally sounding boosters implying imminent apocalypse, when coasting too, and lots of them; the current booster sounds are for the most part all weak in my opinion. An open cockpit that stands tall, offering a clear view of a large portion of the hull to convey the real size of the ship (which most ships fail outside VR), complete with some side windows. Multipurpose-oriented with plenty of hardpoints. Large or huge ship, if that ever becomes a thing. Kinda like T-10, but bigger, more elegant, less industrial and more luxurious.
As for opening the wallet, I understand that these promises are made out of paper - no pearl-clutching here, but I still don´t like seeing a verbal contract broken. Will still continue grabbing the cosmetics I like if the game continues to show promise on its galaxy simulation end.
Yes I too vouch for the Panther Clipper the largest player ship in the Elite universe.
Past that the Type 8, Mandalay and Krait 2 cover most of my needs.
Dream ship ? Something with fighters/drones as main weapon (not just 1 fighter). Carrier playstyle. It will never happen, a single fighter leave the server in shambles in PVP, apparently, so a bunch of drones is a nono. But one can dream.
