Double engineered SCO drives are available at the tech broker

If you missed out on the CG, fret not.

You can still get the drives, in all sizes.

Well yeah. That's how the tech broker works. Always has.

Be glad they bothered to add them at all, because now it means we've dodged the inevitable complaints in a few weeks from now about people missing out for reasons such as they were sick, away or simply didn't have the game at the time.

I don't often say this about a game studio, but it's an improvement in behaviour from Frontier regarding such modules. A little gratitude is warranted here.

no matter what they'll still have to go to a dead titan to get that one specific material that's only available at titans, and will have to get 1 for each and every drive size they need for their ships.

And? Why is that a problem?

If anything I'm taking that as confirmation that the dead Titans are a permanent fixture.

If you're going to complain, at least make sense.

I'm good sticking with the SCO drives I already spent a bunch of time and mats on that have the same range and less negative effects tbh, don't care about the faster boot time part.

And that's fine. Glad to see you came here to spout nonsense, for some reason.

Nonsense? Just informing people they're not all that worth it and you have to go out of your way to get a special material, you conveniently forgot to include in your first post.

The information is in a post on the thread.

Please stop, you're getting needlessly hostile here.

Cool. Good to know I won't have to figure out which one of my 30 ships I want to put those in. Also, they definitely are better than the regular SCO drives. Ignore the poster claiming otherwise.

The faster boot sequence may not be that useful in most cases, but the modification does add jump range. Couple that with the added FSD range modification and there is no way that you'll ever get the same jump range with a single engineered one.

Whether or not it's worth a little bit of time to go gather materials to unlock them, that's up to you all to decide. Materials are stupidly easy to get now, so it should be near inconsequential to gather them.

Once again proving ever the reasonable adult I see. Thank you.

I ain't doing all that for an extra 1LY jump range and more heatbuildup and having to sell away my other fully engineered SCO drives I spent time on.

Nobody is making you do that dude.

But you're being weird here with the whole "It's not worth it".

You speak for yourself, and only yourself. Pipe down.

Well, I'm part of a group and they're currently talking about the new SCO. One dude's got an Orca with over 80 Ly jump range (12 Ly more than my AspX gets with a regular SCO drive). Someone else got their Mandalay to just shy of 100 Ly. So, I don't know where you're getting your 1 Ly difference, but it's wrong.

Not to mention that even if it were just one lightyear, for anyone pushing jump records, that counts.

Wild that we have someone here making players having choice into a fight.
