It's a fantastic ship but I wouldn't use real money on it. Earning and rigging out ships is the only progression ED has. It's like shooting yourself in the foot to buy dance shoes.

see when it comes to kiting out ships, i really dont have a clue where to start thats all. im basically a beginner at this point
If you're into combat I personally reccomend stepping up to the DBS, or Courier. By the time you've kitted that out and earned some money you'll have a much better idea of what you like and can give a Medium ship a whirl. I have everything, A grade and g5 engineered, and I still fly the Courier the most.
Start with the given ship, do data missions till you can get a bigger one then you can move into transport or exobiology. The later will get you enough credits to buy a whole fleet of ships following this easy route scanning plants on different planets. When you get a billion or so you can do pretty much what ever you want

a billion seems like a lot xD but thanks, ill check it out
You don't need a billion dollars to have fun. Try a variety of different things before you just jump on the grind train to crank out max bucks.
It really doesn't take all that long to get enough credits in-game to buy a decent small ship like a Cobra Mk III, then you can do missions, exploring, a little combat, almost anything.
If you do want to spend real cash on a ship, the Cobra Mk V would probably be better. Get the Stellar edition. If you just buy the basic model as a newb you would need to spend a couple million on outfitting it before it's actually useful. Most ships, the base model is pretty worthless, you have to spring for upgrades. Just don't buy the undercoating.

33000 arx is for the stellar edition yes?
Its up to what your goals are. The Krait 2 is an awesome ship. Can do almost everything.

However

It will cost a few million to replace if it goes boom. The prebought ones have much, much lower replacment cost if you oopsie die and need to rebuy.

So, what are your finances Ike, if $30 means boo diddly to you, go for it. If that's groceries one week, then earn the money in-game, it's not hard.
I would say if you want to skip the early stages of the game go for it there will still be plenty of progression so don't worry about that, the Krait is mainly a combat ship so don't expect alot of cargo space but as an all round start ship go for it man! there is no wrong way to play and it's not pay to win or anything :)
I like the Krait II for core mining.
Buy now it if you want to take part in the community goal, that is currently happening. it is a lot of fun.. You can make mistakes as there is no rebuy. You'll have a dedicated ship for anti-xeno stuff in the future. You can also grind your own stuff later.

Buy it and jump in the action.

You can earn a billion in a play session doing anti-xeno. If you team up with the right people.

There´s been a suspicious number of threads where "ARX" and <insert ship name> share the same sentence. Krait MK II isn´t even a time-gated ship.

No but it comes engineered and returning or new players have to opportunity to take part without grinding the unlocks and mats

The pre built and engineered AX Krait MK 2 in the shop is a very worthwhile purchase if you're new and don't want to spend time building your own AX ship.
