The last Titan?
I've never seen a Titan before. Is this my last chance to see one before they are removed from the game?

None of us know, but if you've never seen one it's worth the effort.

Getting in just requires a caustic sink and a TP pulse neutraliser.

After it's dead (if we actually kill it) you have 24 hours to go in without needing the pulse util at all.

On that point, is there any reason, apart from sightseeing?

they are a big fan of making their little content stupidly rare / DYNAMIC lol.
Yeah at that point i just hope they shoot them self in the foot and delete Titans and Spire sites.

All commanders who contribute at least some damage to the Titan's thermal core will be given a double engineered SCO drive in all grades, possibly the best FSD to ever be made..assuming we kill it by Thursday.

There's other rewards like cosmetics and credits too of course, but that's the main incentive before the Titan is history and it's basically a participation reward.

I am mainly an explorer and never previously engaged with the thargoids, but I was able to outfit a Krait MK. 2 and and learned how to Titan bomb within an hour. Just got to get the AX modules from that rescue ship.

OP there are quite a few CMDRs who have open multicrew seats so people can see the titan.
If you open the comms menu you can select to join ship and then AX from there.

cheers

Sorry about the poor wording of my question there. What I was wondering was, is there anything to salvage or collect after it is dead?

Only tears of happiness - because it´s all finally over.

After the titan is dead you will be able to harvest titan and thargoid based resources from the wreckage that's one of the thing you get from it after it's already dead, you can currently do this with the other dead titans aswell, hope this helps :)

"little content"

CMDR L. Bobbitt of the CX-8701 Reformation Project (CXRP) reported hearing strange noises at Titans Oya's remains to Canonn, that when put through a spectrogram appear to have some informational content. Investigation is underway.

CMDR XenosAurion ran the audio through Sonic Visualiser and discovered something chilling. It;s full of people!

Meta Alloys, Drive Components and a ton of other salvage worth 200k+ when you sell them.

The dead titans have unique materials.

And, apparently, some are now making new noises as per my previous post.

It's not over yet.

BTW today is the 10th anniversary of the Elite Dangerous launch. There may be fireworks to celebrate.

Thank you everyone for the replies.

As for the Titan, are we taking bets and giving odds on boom before Thursday? Or is there plot armour pre-placed for the glorious 10th anniversary?

I am sure a failure to deliver the FSD rewards will not be taken badly by the community...

Always check for spots in systems above and below where you want to be. 95% of players only scroll the galmap in the horizontal plane when looking for a good carrier destination.
