A key binding to turn on/off docking computer
I think that's what we need!

At the moment it is turned on automatically when speed goes to zero. But sometimes I want to take over quick when I start to get scanned, and it is a pain to go to the Modules page and deactivate it.

So please, a key binding to toggle it on/off would be great.

While we are at this docking computer thing, maybe add the option to choose different music (don't get me wrong, I was smiling like a puppy dog when I heard it, same music from the 84 docking computer!) It might be cool to even be able to play our own choices, GTA style ...

Anyway, key binding, yes please!

Increasing throttle into forward or reverse will turn it off automatically.

Check in your setting (im not near the game at the moment so i cant be precise) there maybe a mappable key. Failing that if you have VA then you should be able to deactivate it in there.

As for the music ..................... ♥♥♥♥ outta luck. Thats why i dont have one lol

And unless it was changed with the improvements to the autodocking in the last big update...it re-engages as soon as you throttle down again. So basically, no ...it doesnt "shut off".

yes it does. so long as you are above 0 speed it stays off

You could set up a macro to do it, either on your keyboard, if it supports macros, or Voice Attack (I have a VA command to toggle the docking computer). You would, however, need to modify the macro if you change modules or ships, as the macro would depend on the docking computer being in the same place in the modules menu.

I really wish there were more functions that had keybinds.
I agree, a keybind would be preferable to throttle position.

So basically,yes... its does.."shut off" as long as you dont press x again or throttle all the way down to 0. Problem solved.
Have you tried looking into the "Landing Over-Ride" controls ?

As far as I remember, if you turn off flight assist, it does not activate.

I have the same annoyances. You say don't throttle to zero like you should fly with some speed when manouvering for docking. It can be done with thrust imputs sure, but its trickier, especially if avoiding scanning and be down fast.

Landing Overide Controls is just a seperate scheme when docking request is granted, there's no overides there, just secondary bindings.

Flight Assist! See the other pages just say "press x".

Keybinding exists, wiki pls. I forgot x was the assist default, thank you, that answers the question I had.
