What's your favorite Trade tool and why? cccc
Question's in the title feel free to skip this part:
I avoided using these for a while because I thought it would take away something from the game and on occasion I still do it the old fashion but frankly I find I have more fun after using the eddb tool. What's your favorite tool and why do you prefer it?

I don't do trading, but i have tried it out. Using external trade tools felt like cheating to me, so i simply used my noggin, pen, and paper, and went scouting round a few systems for good prices. Soon got bored of it though, went back to exploring.

I use a python script called Trade Dangerous. You can download other people's data or you can use it to simply record the data for where you visit.

I did it that way for awhile but it would come down to memorizing a loop. when I use a trade tool with the single hop option on eddb and chaninging settings it mixed things up while still allowing profit. I would recommend trying it a few time and see if it still seems like cheating to you, if you get interested in trading.

Thrudd's is by far the best for finding loop routes. EDDB if you, for whatever reason, wanted to do multihop routes or needed information on running goods between two particular systems.

Pen and paper or nothing, tools feel like cheating.

Meh did it that way for a long while, it's gathering data, recording it, and studying the map while messing with its options unless you think that's cheating too, of course. let's face it, this is neither difficult nor an accomplishment it's simply tedius to me. Play however you want, the result would be same. It's simply a matter of if you'd rather pool your knowledge with others or build a chart from ground up. I've done both the former leads to a funner experience to me.

If you are looking for a GUI may I suggest this one[bitbucket.org]? I think it's more comfortable then the bare script.

I would really love to try this because I would but I'm not sure.

The best tool is the MkI Human Brain. It's where I keep all my happy thoughts.

The money in the game is quite meaningless, you know. So are the products. As long as you keep playing, even if you die fifty times a session, you can still make money.

My favourite trading tool is my Trader Pilot friend. Cuz he's done all the work for me and I get to benefit from his route charts.

Exactly same here. While flying around, hauling wares, is a good thing and feels good, the tools for price searching in Elite aren't... Good. And using external community-made tool? No.
