I don't believe in messing around the the game artist's vision or post-processing screenshots. The only thing done to them is to convert from BMP to PNG.
EDIT: I guess after a second look it's not really that different. That hue on the blue is really rich though. Looks nice
Frontier's Cobra game engine is capable of supporting 16k resolutions even if there's not really the hardware to take advantage of it (yet), and there is the ability in the game to take high resolution screenshots where the engine basically re-renders the current frame at 4 times your display resolution.
I play at 4k, so when I use it I get a 16k screenshot (15360x8640)
This hires screenshot mode only works in Solo as it's an exploitable way of adding lag to the game.
