Type 9 or Andaconda?

Please explain why.

Anaconda.! 2 very simple reasons. Jump Range and Maneuverability. Things the Type 9 sorely lacks in both areas for a Trader. Not too mention you can arm a Conda to the teeth and fight anyone that attempts to interdict you.

Then you will end up trucking around in a Type 9 making the cash you wished you had saved for Conda you wish you were flying instead of this horrible Space Cow.

I'm lucky I have no aspirations for either of those 2 I have my Python fully A Spec'd Fit for making me money for trading and fully fit for fighting whoever I want.

lol, honestly after I got the Anaconda I haven't played that much. I haven't even tried powerplay that much yet, I think I got burned out from so much trading, and I still love the game though.

I went for a T-9 from a Python because it had a lot more of space. I had to change back to the Python and lose ~9 millions from the T-9. Main problem was that none of my routes worked with the T-9 because of its incredibly small jump range even with an A FSD. If I remember it was barely ~17 or under 17 ly. It's also incredibly slow, hard to maneuver, and very boring although these last things I didn't care about, but none of my trade routes working I did mind.

Anaconda. Because, better. /thread.

T9 has like an 8-10 light year max jump range fully loaded. And takes forever to turn. And has weak shields. So when you get interdicted, you're shields are about all the way down by the time you jump. It's just... a horrible ship.

Anaconda jumps about 20 light years at a time fully loaded. Only loses about 50 cargo space versus that of the T9. Turns way better. (So you can do more runs in the same amount of time, making up for the loss of the 50 cargo) Uses a Class 4 shield and 6-8 shield boosters so it has over 900 MJ of shield energy (which is more than the Python's Class 6A shields). And nothing can mass lock (except another Anaconda) it so it can jump everytime in an instant (so you don't need weapons). Basically, it's god mode... versus a flying cow. Worth the extra 40 million wait. I wished I stuck with the trading python over the t9 to be honest. Just bypass that cow.

deppends on your trade route, google Elite Dangerous ship calculator and put together Type 9 set for trading and max jump range, if you need to do 2 jumps with T9 compared to 1 jump with conda for example, T9 is better for you due to bigger cargo capacity, since jumps are very fast

Personaly I don't like T9, it's slow and moves like a space dump truck, but it's 3x cheaper then trading conda = T9 for trading, bought for discount will cost 80 mil - insurance 4,2 mil, trading conda 180 mil, insurance 8,5 mil

And don't forget about less of cargo space in Conda, if your trade route is 2 close systems, T9 will earn you more money
