and don't forget to reduce unneeded mass of some modules (downgrade the module class or upgrade fom E to D rating) to increase jump range.
It really depends, are you going for jump range or not ? Is your route several jumps, or just 1 or two ? If it's short jumping you can add some bells & whistles, like a chaff launcher, repair module etc..
If you're going for max jump range, you want a stripped down ship for low weight....
