Price Drop on Odyssey?
I could have sworn it was 25. Was just recommending it to a friend and saw it was 15 smackers... is this a recent change or what? no sale currently going on.

yeah it was 40 base price before february last year, new base price is 15

what a pleasant surprise.

Well its a very worthwhile expansion at that cost for sure. I already own it but its nice to see a friend snatch it up so cheap.

If anyone is wondering if odyssey is worth it at that price. My two cents is absolutely.

Also I know a commander with 20 accounts and a fleet carrier on each. No way I'm getting anywhere near that.

Anyway, I was only pointing out it's a slippery slope. One minute you have a second account and the next thing you know you're trying to come up with names for the next, and the next ...

Rumor has it and has not been confirmed but EDO will be free like it was beyond and legacy will be no more. this is for pc players only.

and the way they drop the price of edo you can clearly see they want everyone over to EDO.

I've seen nothing about EDO being free except a couple of hopefuls who have Horizons and don't want to pay the ten bucks.

Bear in mind the base game is PEGI 7 and EDO is PEGI 16, so they can't just fold it in as you cannot retrospectively raise the age rating for a game someone already has.

They could make it a free DLC with a different age rating I guess, but there's been zero noise about this ... and why would they? Half the thargoid war content was Odyssey-only, the new ships are Odyssey-only after the early access period (unless you pay ARX for them in Horizons), half the Powerplay 2 content is EDO only, and there's a good chance Colonisation and future content will also be Odyssey only.

By now, anyone who hasn't bought Ody to go with the base game probably wouldn't want it for free either.
