Just jetissoned all my cargo what do I do? (Hit the wrong button)
I had a nice set of cago via missions that was going to net me a bunch, I tried grabbing it with the cargo scoop, but that didn't do anything. I also got fined 500 credits for dumping it near a station. I have a feeling I'm also going to be fined for not delivering those to their location, they were the transport missions. I suppose I could buy them all, but I was currently building my funds back up after purchasing an asp, so I'm not sure I will be able to afford the fines. This game has far too many ways you have to just start over.

Step 1: Move that keybind, or disable it.

Step 2: Cargo scoop is the way to go, but its tricky and takes time. You can find a tutorial on youtube or something, but be warned, that cargo will decay in about 5 mins.

As for the game having too many ways to start over, not really. There are ways to make a mistake... for example, dumping all your cargo :D

It should also be pointed out that, while the Delivery missions give you free pieces of cargo to do the delivery with, you don;t need to deliver those exact pieces of cargo; you can go and buy replacements. Assuming you can afford them, of course; still, completing the mission with a reduced profit margin is still better than copping both the negative rep and the "you stole our cargo" penalty.

LOL they never added a "are you sure" additional tap of the jettision button. Don't fret I did exactly the same thing when getting use to my HOTAS binding. Right infront of a station, and it drops it one at a time until the cargo bay is empty, without a way to stop it. Got fined, lost the cargo, failed the mission, but found another for a better profit.

Just thought of this, surprised I didn't think if way long ago before I got use to the binds, bind the jettison button in the game options to a double tap.... I think that is possible.

Add a 'CTRL+' to the bind or even a 'ALT+CTRL'. "Are you sure" dialog boxes really don't work all that well. As for double-tap... never had a case of 'stickey-keys'? ^-^

But really... think of all the situations where you'll need to jettison cargo... do you need the function at just a keystroke away?

After 7 days they become bounties.

EDIT: Erm, maybe not 7 days... they have a timer. Its been a while since i got a fine.

this bounty applies on players right, not ships?

Yeah, you can change ships but the bounty stays. People use this to their advantage by switching to a sidewinder and getting killed by the System Authorities (i think that's how it works... far too metagamey for me).

I thought the same, but I paid for the bounty now :) . Also , offtopic, can you tell me if Zachary Hudson really has some advantage over others, I dont seem to get any bounty hunting bonuses/

Be nice to be able to pay "wanted" fines right after they occur. Yesterday I shot an enemy too close to the station and I became wanted. Logged out and in again, still no option to pay the fines. Just left the system and did some stuff for half an hour and came back and my warrant and fines mysteriously disappeared on their own. Can't say I was unhappy about that. :)

You used to be able to pay bounties. They changed it to a timer system. I think the new system is an improvement over the old, but still not great.

But at least now rich players can no longer just laugh off bounties by killing people, docking, paying off fine, and then continue to hang around.

System still needs some sort of improvement though, but most will have flaws.
