Electronic Countermeasures
Can someone tell me how you activate the Electronic Countermeasures once they are epuipped please?
Sorry for the noob question, but just purchased a larger ship than the starter ship, and I've installed Torpedo and Electronic Counter measures.
The Torpedo I have assigned to my fire group using fire button 2, but cant figure out how to assign the countermeasures to a different key or Joystick button.

Thanks

You can only assign things to button 1 or 2. You would have to put it on the next tab and press n to cycle there.

yep. there is no way to control utilitary gear outside weapon loadout keys, yet :(
including lack of ability to directly bind key to.

if its in active weapon group ? probably.
its also affect all crafts/missiles, not just "only enemies", so some NPC can turn stance and become hostile, become within radius.

If by ECMs you mean a Chaff Launcher, you can assign it to your keyboard in the options menu. I have mine set to 'B', which I think may be the default binding.

ECM and chaff are two different things!

Chaff launchers spray small heat decoys to confuse the heat based targetting systems of gimballed/turreted weapons..
While Electronic Counter Measure are some sort of green energy weapon turret, that destroy missiles.. ;)

more like "suppres missiles brains" ;) but PD will destroy them, yep.

Oh. You're talking about the CIWS. My bad. I don't think those would be classified as ECMs would they?
