Is the Titan Drive Component more rare than rare?

Been searching in the derelict Titan in the Sol system for nearly 2 hours and have yet to find one. I scooped up components and materials hoping it would cause one to spawn, no go. I searched 5-8km from the center point and out between 12-15km in circles, still nothing. I've gotten so much Meta-Alloys it makes the pirates drool when they scan me lol. I've tried relogging thinking it would help. For some reason less things spawn when I do.

So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

These are rare, and subject to randomness. Still you could try this :

- exit and then re-enter the zone, in order to send another prayer to RNGsus

- try another titan wreck. Watch out for the bugs though. Maybe (wild guess) the drives are more scarce in sol's safe environment.

I'll try tomorrow since they are yet again turning off the servers in less than 5 min. Relogging didn't seem to make a difference but it could just be RNG. I make sure to pop all the thargoid sensors though too. I have a feeling those might be more uncommon than the other things spawning. Plus more fragments won't hurt.

I got mine months ago (soon after the 2nd or 3rd Titan went boom) by doing laps around the very outer fringes. Collect Meta Alloys and other loot while you're at it, if you have a carrier.

I went back after the last Titan popped and got 2-3 more. Same srategy, just hoover everything up. It's possible there's a limit on how many items can be in the instance, so if you keep collecting everything in range it's possible you have more chance of a drive component spawning.

I once found 3 within 30 minuites. And once go for 3 hours without finding even one. Matter of luck i guess. I found 8 in around 8 hours in total last time when i was looking for them. On the beginign I have decided that i will fill my targoid materials to the full as main goal and just treat them as a bonus to not being dissopionted. So i have build myself comfortable dedicated ship for this purpose and played some nice music to ease the grind.

They do seem to spawn around the outer edges, not near the centre. One or two an hour if you're lucky.

RNGs are painful sometimes.. As you can see people posting its either feast or famine.. For myself the very first time I went in and the drive was the first thing I saw within 1 min was a drive. I said to my self wow that was easy... I went back 3 times and never found another until the 4th visit.... Patience is a friend

Its becoming a painful slog, spent a week going after all the mats to make the FSD and its like I hit a wall now. But I guess I can just keep scooping up all the Meta Alloys since I see more of those than anything. Way better than having to either wait and buy one every 5-10 min or go 1000+Ly away to mine a handful in an SRV slowly.

Have you been collecting all of the random materials too? It seems like if you clear out the non-TDC spawns, you're more likely to get one.
I have 9 of them (so far), and the average time to get one was probably 30-45 minutes.

Yeah like I said in the title post I've scooped up what I can, I have a corrosive resistant rack that can hold 16 things that will burn a hole through a normal rack. I shoot Thargoid sensors for their fragments to save cargo space. I collect the bio pods, tissue samples, etc. Have yet to see one spawn. Maybe the one in Sol isn't a good place to find one.

I found there 2 each in 20 minutes . Maybe relog multiple times, Thats what I did.

I ususaly found nothing, but have also found more than one. Very hit and miss and pretty darned rare. I only have about 3 or 4 for future need, but frankly the regular SCO when fully engineered is good enough that the pre-engineered version is really only good for bragging rights. (Which is why I had to have some.

I found 5 today. Put everything on ignore but the titan drive component and just flew circles around the titan in sol while keeping an eye on my radar and contacts. Took me about 2 hours.

Yes, i've done 2 trips to Titan Hadad, to get PESCO FSD's for both my explorer and hauler. First time took me 2hrs to find, second time 5mins.

cold orbit around the site at about 8-15 km with good scanners, and you'll find one.
