Utility Slots: A heatsink launcher or two (all but mandatory), a point defense turret to protect your cargo hatch, and maybe a chaff launcher.
Weapons: Remove them all, they are dead weight, even if you win, fighting pirates just eats into your delivery time. Just win interdiction and/or run.
Optional Slots: Keep both flight assists, you will appreciate being able to take your hands of the controls now and then, the repetition in hauling can be brutal. Throw an FSD booster on board when it makes sense, and/or a small shield when getting goods from opposition stronghold systems, Otherwise it is more efficient to fly bare metal and run from everything.
Core Internal: A rated SCO drive, engineered for long range if possible, A rated engines engineered with drag/drives etc, (helps with running away, and with quickly clearing mass-lock). Minimal lightweight components everywhere else; for the most part that means undersized D-rated, engineered to be lightweight if that is an option. Engineering your small D-rated distributor for engine focused can help keep your boost cycle going while keeping things light.

Mining, it's slower than Python (Mk. I) and Krait Mk. II, due to much smaller power distributor, but makes up for it with big cargo hold.
Cargo, it's just plain excellent.
I see. I bought a T8 after I already owned a Cutter, I heard it is easier to navigate around the rocks, but I got so used to flying the Cutter, I bought two, one for surface mining and the other for hauling cargo. I use an Anaconda for core mining.
Nevertheless, this left me with a T8 without a use and only 2 days ago, did I realize that I can turn it into a passenger carrier for Robigo and damn was I happy to have a use for it. I know Python might be better, but I already own the Python MK2 and didn't feel like getting a Python MK1, so I gave the T8 a shot with the SCO and everything,. I'm making about 120M in an hour or so. I think that's fairly decent when money needs to be quick and I don't feel like landing on planet for exo.
Not that I've noticed. You're welcome to check yourself though, I can only compare it to what it was like in early February as that's when I first went there.
Yeah, Type 8 is best medium ship for cargo or passenger runs.
Mining, I'm still setting mine up to test laser mining, Python is probably better due to much much better power distributor, but the ability to equip a 7A universal Limpet Controller on a medium ship that can still easily hit 180+ cargo capacity is pretty darn impressive.
If it's crap I'll update my post.
