How to interface with the Hub Access Terminal

I have scanned the terminal with the datalink on the SRV, it now says (Scanned) .. but the mission still wants me to "interface" with it

What else am I supposed to do? I have googled it and apparently that's all you need to do, then the security systems activate and you run.. but the whole base is still calm and it won't allow me to scan it again. Is it just broken?

Well never mind. I got out on foot to try and this was apparently considered trespassing, even though it was totally cool to drive around in the SRV. Guess this mission is just broken/poorly designed.

Wow this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. I got a bounty from that. Went to a planet settlement to pay it off, they killed me after scanning me and noticing the 1,000cr bounty. Respawned in prison, had to pay 4.7 million to release my ship from impound.

All because I tried to help take down a terrorist.

You were scanning the wrong terminal. =)

Caveat: upon landing 3km away to avoid the trespass bounty, the target link will show up on your contact list when in the SRV, so target it, drive there and scan then gtfo asap and drive far enough out of range. -syssecs might chase you in a ship so keep calm when recalling and boarding your ship.

Or if the mission permits, let your SRV be destroyed and respawn at your ship which you already dismissed to orbit. (one always dismiss one's ship when doing ground work; you can't recall it if it gets blown upwhile doing other things)

Bounties are not fines... You don't pay off bounties.

You go to a different star system and get Interstellar Factors to do it for you (though I wouldn't bother with a planet surface bounty, I just ignore them until they go away).

Is there more than one "Hub Access Terminal"? Nothing else was showing up in contacts. The only other things I could scan around the base were data ports or something forgot the exact name.

Anyway this mission should have been marked as ILLEGAL since you have to break the law to complete it. I won't be doing it again.

That is what I meant, I was going to pay it off at an interstellar factor. I should have stayed in the ship to do it, didn't realise the entire settlement would light me up over such a small bounty. Guess they got their training from Los Santos PD :)

Did you figure it out? Depending on what you're scanning, you might have to get quite close to scan. You'll know you're close enough when it extends. Get close, and target it using the turret. And make sure you're also in exploration mode (blue HUD), as opposed to combat mode (orange HUD) - default M on keyboard to switch.
