Being in a wing you can kill each target much faster and the bounties rack up a lot quicker. I play on my own and with friends when they are on and I am always making more credits per hour with them in a wing as we slaughter the wanted so much quicker than on my own.
If your making less credits, your wingman needs a kick up the boosters to get moving!!
It's a good way to help someone get credits faster. Besides, if you're in a wing and helping one another, why shouldn't you share the rewards?
Just FYI: if you wing-up for Power Play merits, the merits are not split. Everyone in the wing gets the full merits.
Bounty goes to each member inside the party that killed it THAT DID DAMAGE THE TARGET SHIP. If your buddy did not hit even ones the ship you killed....bounty is not shared.
It is boring to the tear feature that many fan boyz defend as "realistic" :D
This and many other reasons is why I have not play tihs game for a while....likely never will again.
Back to the OP - It will also work with trading monies. If I am in my fat Asp with small shields coming back from mining, my friend will be in the wing with me in his pimped Vulture, so he can provide me protection like a space-mobster! We found though, that if we are both docked at a port at the same time, when I sell the metals from the mining [on the normal market; this doesn't apply to mining missions], he gets a notification of a trade dividend. He can then go into the contacts section of the starport services, and is able to claim 5% of the total value I sold all the mining materials for. It may not sound much, but on a 1.5m haul, he gets 75k for being my bodyguard, and it is IN ADDITION to the monies I make from trading, so it doesn't come out of my profit. It helps, as it means we don't have to fanny around with me dropping him painite to scoop up and so on.
So as mentioned, it does pay to be winging up when you can :)
You sure about that? AFAIK sharing mechanics inside wings are independent of hitting stuff.
There's much to criticise about the game, but you're grasping at straws (also, if you will never play it again, what are you doing here?)
Absolutely positive that is how it works. Tried and tested on hundreds of occasions
SO if your waingman takes off 50% of the hull health of a ship you don't want them to get paid for it? I don't understand what you are trying to say :(
No not exactly. I'm saying that bounty hunting with a wing of four doesnt pay nearly as well as bounty hunting solo in my experience. My friends and I will probably move from kremainn to somewhere with a hazardous RES and a station near by.
A wing of 4 will clear the spawns 4 times faster than a single ship so you get 4 times the bounties split 4 ways, works out pretty much even in my experience.
I would advise Hazres eeven for solo farming there is very little in there that should trouble you and a wing of 4 is hugely overpowered for other res sites unless you are all pottering about in cobras or lower
It's normally two vultures and two vipers when it's all of us together. The problem we have is getting small bounties, which split even two ways is hardly worth the time of day to us. Myself and the other vulture pilot are pushing for a python so money is top priority with us.
Actually, it works better than "even". A four-man wing, working as a team, can rack-up far more kills than the sum of 4 people individually. Having your wingman kill the ship that's shooting you is worth more than getting full credits for the one you were shooting at.
