Anyone else annoyed at the Robigo nerf?
I think that this nerf is pretty unfortunate. I needed one more run of 10million to get my discounted conda. Another run for some upgrades. :/

Just finished my first 3 Robigo runs (3 different ones, same trip out there). Easiest and fastest 14 mil I've made yet.

However, if they make this game into a 200 hour grind for one ship, that's like a job. We don't have time for that. They should've just made it so you can't switch from online to singleplayer to get the missions. At least a 30 minute to 1 hour and a half cooldown or so.

FD don't force people do to that. People do that to themselves.

It depends on how you approach the game. If you think you must be able to afford the most expensive stuff in the game in less than 200 hours, then yes, you probably are going to be disappointed.

If you are playing for the long haul, you find you don't worry about the credits, because you know sooner or later you will get the money anyway, and instead you focus on enjoying the game itself.

But hey, don't worry about it. FD regularly introduce a new exploit every month or two.

We initially had rares runs that could earn insane amounts. Then we had seeking luxuries. etc etc... every month or two a new way for players to earn hundreds of millions with just a few hours work.

Just sit back and chill, and wait for the next one to appear.

Then, once you have a few billion in your account, you won't need any more money ever again and can stop worrying about it altogether. Hell, if that was your only focus anyway, getting the biggest ships, you can even then quit playing. ;)

i have done a lot of res sights maybe not as much but i know how they work. between running to each engagment (because they all dont happen right on top of you) maybe having the really big bounties drop in every so often like condas or clippers ( they dont drop in every 5 min) and having to run back to your nearest base to dock and reload ( because kinetic weapons do more damage to a ships hull) scooping up 500-600 k every half hour is very realistic. time your self you would be surprised how long you actually sit out there even though it doesnt feel like it. in terms of trading when did i say that running a type 9 or a trading conda couldnt make that. but as he stated that he wanted his conda (which means he doesnt have it) making 10 mil in a lower class ship every 2 to three hours isnt on par with the rest of the games profit to ton ratio ( which is why they nerfed it) 3-4k profit a ton is amazing and as you stated 3.3k profit in your conda is a route you obviously like because it would be hard to find one that pays more your earning comes from your overall abitlity to carry 400 tons. my run right now im running imperial slaves one way and baryllium back its about a 15 min pulling about 500k round trip using trading sites for reference to maximize profits and time. 500k x4 =2 mil x 3 = 6 mil for 3 hours on this route. in 3 hrs i would have done this route 12 times. the route one way is 47 ly so that is 94ly round trip. 94 x 12 = 1128 ly to make 6 mil. now he said it takes max 3 hrs to travel 400 ly so i can reasonably assume his ship is ♥♥♥♥. so a ♥♥♥♥ ship making 10 mil in 3 hours making only a 400 ly trip is OP.

now i also forgot to add the the games economy fluctuates where supply and demand between routes change. this also assumes you arent exploiting the fact that you can jump from solo to open and just try to collect as many 600k missions as you can stack up but even then you have to have a good amount of cargo space to truly capitalize on that as well.

not at all... what was sad was they were to op to start with and the above mentioned stacking of these said multi million cred pay out missions

I still fly a vulture because i refuese to use these methods of cheating my self of the voyage to become a better player so i can quickly buy a nice big ship, only need a few more mill and i can buy my python.

same go's for the rep exploit to rank up i mean come on people the games going to be around for a very long time there is no rush because there is no first prize lol

well there is some change between government type changing missions generated at each end. Economic booms and expansions do sometimes take off production and demadn of specific items ( corporate governments in industrial stations loose personal weapon production) during expansion states

In my humble opinion I think the long range smuggling missions that require you to bring 1-6 slaves in a high security station for a million or so is fun and rather balanced by itself.
From my experience they ask to travel for like 300-500 LY which is quite dangerous in the bubble.

The only things that can make it unbalanced are:
- You can get more missions by switching modes. Thus having more profit in per trip.
- The slaves are not "mission specific" meaning that you can sell the slaves at robigo - travel near your destination - buy the slaves there - go to your destination with limited jumps remaining. Thus reducing your risk.

no one makes 10 mil in 3 hrs bounty hunting lol even at high res sites. im currently trading in a 104 ton type 6 which isnt the cream of the crop ship but im still pulling in 4k profit a ton and dont make 10 mil in three hours.

lol
congratz man!! you meet no one!

Even in FDL and quite lazy hunt Im doing 15 mil for hour in hazRes in Gende. Yes, Im using 5 rating ALD for BH boost. And yes, when Im flying in Corvette there, I`m doing even more..

Its possible.
A very.

It wasn't nerfed. What WAS nerfed were the ones that offered slave trades that had you carry like 50+ slaves. People would abandon the mission right at the dock, and sell the mission cargo on the black market, and repeat...never leaving dock.

That sounds like an unintentional thing..
Did the people exploiting this lose the money they got from it or did FD let them keep it?

Funny, I was thinking that this would have been a viable strategy if there were more slaves per mission =D

I make three to four million an hour harvesting pirates in HAZ RES's in my Fer De Lance

Edit: the 4 million was probably a bit optimistic--I just timed myself for accuracy and it was averaging right at 3 mil an hour if I was on the ball

Is this now a Star Citizen discussion therad? If so, I can lock it.

Or people can get back on topic.

actually i think smuggling missions at robigo is the easiest and fastest way of making money, some of my friends can make 100mil in one run, with an asp explorer.they take as many missions as they can, sell the slaves at robigo so they don't need to worry about the cargo limit.and buy them back near the destination.tell u the truth, there is no risk for an experienced smuggler,no risk at all,for me,i can always avoid getting scanned.
