The problem is that I have to manually input every single little thing. If I complete a mission, manually update my credits, if I change stations, manually change station, if I change ship, manually remove the old ship and add the new one, then manually add every single component and manually change my credits. If I go up a rank, manually add the rank.
It is so much busy work, there has to be a way to update it, if not automatically, then at least upload a file from a program such as the Market Connector.
What data are you mainly using it for?
ED Market Connector just updates the market prices if you click update after you dock at a station. Any trade tool (such as ED-TD) that uses the EDDN Database for market data will poll the EDDN database whenever you send a request and give you the last info based on your input.
I hope this helps you some until someone that uses Inara drops in.
Well, I would like a site, similar to Inara that gives me an overview of what I own, statistics, where my ships are located and normal stuff like where to buy X. And I don't want to manually update every single thing. Does that exist?
About the middle of the page you'll see the link.
Download it, unpack it, look at the readme to figure out how to install it (basicallly copy the folder into the ED Market Connector plugins folder). Start up ED Market Connector and go into settings. There you will see a tab called Inara. Stick your Inara login details in that and watch the magic.
What a necro. Unsubscribed.
Necro doesn't matter when its a topic where someone has an issue and then a fix is found. Steam forums show up in goolge results all the time, when the next person finds this they'll know what to do.
Now you know.
Settings-->Inara
Put a tick in the check box for send flight log and Cmdr status to Inara.
In Inara credentials insert the API key(click the Inara Credentials link, this will take you to your key, copy and paste it)
Click ok
I had done exactly these things with EDMC and still wasn't getting all data to cross to Inara. Namely, credits weren't tracking, but pilot location was. My inelegant post above solved the issue...figured since the post was pretty old, didn't put too much effort in =/
