So you are saying I should use the options menu in the launcher, not in the game?
I just had a look at those options and they dont seem to have anything to change controls.
If in the game, I cannot change any buttons when the keybinding are set to default/classic context.
Now I could do without the menu that pops up when holding down buttons, just means I need to memorize all shortcuts I make like "A + Dpad".
Another downside is that when for example I bind boost "B", the boost will always activate when I hold down "B" for other options. This leaves me with a lot less options in keybinding.
Would love to get started with this game, but I am really struggling with getting the keybindings right :(
Voice Attack software works really well with this game too. It allows you to unbind things like lights and undercarriage to more often used things.
I have heard about this Voice Attack, tho I have no idea what it is. Must say I do not have any problems with unbinding stuff so not sure if that mod(?) would help me.
Also, is there a name for that button menu? Really having a hard time finding information about it on google :)
I hope the devs find a way to implement it soon, so it is not just for default setup but custom as well.
Other than that I have no problem binding keys/buttons
Make the changes 'in-game' but before pressing to start training/open/solo/CQC is what I mean. In flight changes cause recall issues I have found.
Try B+dpad right = sytems menu
Try B+dpad left = transactions menu
delete all other menu related options.
Y+dpad options for targetting
X+dpad options for FSD/supercruise
Menu/back+whatever you like for the remainder. I only use a keyboard for chat currently. A few hours and you'll recall the combos like streetfighter 2 turbo on snes!
Still hope the context menu will eventually work for custom controls, but at least I can now play the game and loving every minute of it so far :P
