Saitek P880 USB pad - Yaw drift problem
I have the Saitek P880 USB Gamepad (2 analog thumb, D-pad, 6 buttons (+ shift), L&R bumper buttons). I'm still in the process of redefining the bindings. The L-R yaw (+ u-d thrust currently) is linked to the R-thumb. In-game, with the stick centred, there is a continous left yaw drift. I have calibrated the pad using the Game Controller calibration utility. Is there anything that can be done?

In case you don't know, in Win10 you have to search "joy.cpl" to calibrate. :steamfacepalm:

Have you tried adding a deadzone to R-thumb in the game setings?

You can use the 'Yaw Into Roll' control setting to combine yaw and roll axes, or assign the bumper buttons to L/R yaw.

Yaw is quite minor in this game, it's mostly about roll and pitch for 'planes in space' mechanics, so digital yaw may be sufficient for you to make minor aiming adjustments on a target. And use gimballed weapons!

Alternatively, you may be able to use joystick remapper software like vJoy to modify what your R-thumb axis reports to the game - but I have not used this myself.

I think you might need to check whether you have yaw/roll on hold or toggle in options and settings...

It should be on hold ;) Let me know if thats sorted it for you.

I think Hold is for buttons.
