Horizons Min Spec: Nvidia GeForce GTX 470 or AMD Radeon R7 240, the former is better than my gpu gtx 550 ti , but not the latter, why?
So gtx 470 vs r7 240, there is a difference right, the gtx 470 performs better, then why is the requirement less for AMD cards, I was checking scores on game-debate, it turns out my gpu Gtx 550 ti is better than r7 240, but not than the gtx 470, I'm confused, dont know how it will run Horizons, any information on whether the scores are true, practically?
I really want to preorder Horizons but just dont know if my gpu will handle it, rest everything is good.

Give us specs of your system. Ram, Cpu... Edit: You can run the game, but probably low settings AND low fps.

CPU: Intel i5 2500 @ 3.3Ghz
GPU: Gtx 550 ti 1Gb vram
RAM: 8gb
Monitor res.: 720p

And I dont understand why is the r7 240 comparable to the gtx 470?

Probably related to GPU features; Horizons will use compute shaders, and AMD often have a slight "feature advantage" in their low-end models.

What such details are included that has buffed the requirements, is it about rendering planets when approaching closer to them, that the details change accordingly?

A lot of the planet surface detail will have to be generated on the fly, and that's done on the GPU.

I'm wondering whether they will add seperate graphic options for planetary landings, like L/M/High planet details or something, is beta coming out this Monday for sure?
