Anacoda should be much higher than 500k/h, heck even a Type 6 with 64 cargo space can make more than that!
P/s: Go to a pristine metallic ring and mine 3P (Painite, platinium, palladium) + Gold + Osium. Priority as what I listed. Try grab any mining mission available to boost income, dump anything lower value than those.
P/s2: You do use prospector and collector limpet right?
It is possible to make large profits from mining though. I make about 10-15 mil a trip in my T9-Heavy. The key is mining missions, which are usually issued by a high tech station, and pristine metallic rings. My home system has a high tech station adjacent to a pristine metallic ring. Stock up on a few quests, head down to the inner ring, mine away. When I return, I turn in the quests I have and then flip game modes to spawn more quests until all or most of the quest-related ore is liquidated. Then I flog the rest on the open market. Flipping game modes is not necessary but it dramatically increases profits when you can effectively sell your ore for 7x market value through them.
But ye, il prob have to stack missions to earn the big cash.
Quite frankly I'd much rather play for 8 hour earning 10cr an hour and having a ball, than playing 8 hours being bored out of my skull and making 800m cr.
I was having alot of fun killing everything in haz-rez earning 9-10m /h on average :P
Use a prospector to tripple the yield and mine only painite, platinum, palladium, gold and osmium in quantities of AT LEAST 20%+ while keeping painite, platinum and osmium for mining missions instead of selling them on the market (those require trade ranks + standings though so that's something you need to build up).
Why not play for "fun" and see whatever way the dice rolls :) I do that in Eve also (at least there you can win BIG if you get lucky once - or twice... or thrice...).
Wish we could player trade here, or control markets :) *g*
Elite is a space shooter with trade enroute, plain and simple :) I treat it as such.
Edit: would be nice to be able to start whatever carrier player would like at aproximatly same point.
The last one ran for a very short time and I only got 3 runs done but that let me collect 7.5 million once it was over on top of the profits I made from the trading. CG's do require you to go back and collect the reward once it's over but are a nice distraction between exploration trips.
