Mouse control movement
Is there a way to change this horrible mouse control. The way it seems to work is that towards the center is far less sensitive in the middle than the outer edges. Even after i changed the mouse to pitch/yaw, put down the deadzone all the way and turn up the center sensitivity all the way it still feels like ♥♥♥♥.

It's near impossible to make fine aim adjustments during combat and its a god forsaken battle with the mouse than the ship you're trying to shoot at.

I've looked up guides online to make this better but none of them make the controls feel natural. How do you guys shoot anything its insane....

Yea ummm that totally ignores my post. I know about changing the mouse away from rolling. Thats not the issue. The issue is that if im pitching hard upwards and then need to make an adjustment to go down a little, i can't do it by just a little because i have to move my mouse completely the opposite direction. Since the movement of the mouse to the ship is not 1:1 you end up moving either too much or too little.

So I am just wanting like virtually every other space sim and fps shooter out there, for my mouse to and ship to move in sync. Games like freespace or freelancer are excellent examples. They have the movement and controls done in a most excellent fashion. Why elite tries this gawd awful scheme without letting you really change it appropriately is beyond me.

I'm hoping there's something I'm missing and others with the same experience can help.

And i hope no one plays the realism card because there is no such thing as a ships yoke being slow to respond. Imagine a pilot pulls up on the stick and it doesn't instantly react - gg your dead.

If you have a lot of mass on your ship that will impact it because your ship will continue to move forward as you turn up when at high speeds. If it's just a general thing, I don't have it. My ship responds quickly and accurately to any input I give it, so check your mouse.

It sounds like you might be having difficulties with the default of having to manually correct for rotational movement? If you want it to control where moving the mouse moves and stopping movement stops your rotation then you should enable the setting called 'Relative mouse' for both the x and y axis.

I have just the starter ship still. I'll try out your suggestion however, thank you.

Do you have mouse acceleration enabled? One of the worst settings for precise mouse movement ever invented! --> Turn that one off, in windows and EVERY game you have!

Never heard of it before...the only option i really have (win10) is "enhance pointer precision", is this what you are referring to?

Turning on the relative mouse for both axis didn't work out btw...made it even harder to control actually.

Mouse acceleration is what I was going to suggest second, so it's very well might be that. 'Enhance Pointer Precision' would be what you're looking for. If it's on then turn it off and the movement will be more 1:1 instead of the slowly increasing explonential equation mouse acceleration uses.
also make sure to check in-game settings try mouse power curve at a low percentage and see if that helps or try to lower the sensitivity

Id suggest geting XBOX ONE PAD ....i have both stick and pad and allways use pad with gimbled more because the set up so much more laid back and better for prolong use on the arms and hands ....It requires the least amount of effort than mouse or stick
