Is wireless 4g any good for this game?
I am currently living in Australia and thinking of picking up this game, but my internet is only 10 mbits, wireless 4g.

Frontier's made a point to make the game work even under "extremely spotty connections" (braben talks about running it from a bus), especially if you play solo.

So don't quote me on that, but I'd say yes.

Yes I've had poor connection before and this game works fine. Just make sure you play on solo or you can start telling the difference.

I've played it in the UK using mobile phone as a modem whilst out landline was out. It was fine, uses very little bandwidth.

In solo mode, the game runs on 10 KB/s when entering a system or station, so yes, wireless 4g should be more than enough to play the game :)

I've been able to play it just fine with tethered 3G on a train, I think you'll be ok with 4G. :tgrin:
