In general, there are no difficulty ratings for systems or something like that. It's not like in Eve or other games like Freelancer etc. where certain systems are easier for beginners and some are harder. Every system in Elite Dangerous has the same difficulty.
Also note that if you have pledged for a power and you are in another powers space, you are marked as "hostile" and are more likely to get interdicted, no matter if you have a good standing with the local faction itself or not.
Losing ships is common in ED and after a while, once you learn more about the game, you will know how to better evade enemies and how to equip your ships for better survivability etc.
That's pretty much all I can say for now, to not make it too long to read :)
Then tell me how to find in which sectors should I play?
And if all sectors have same difficulty - how is possible that newbies in start zones can do missions.. while when I get to some distant sectors I get there only hard missions?
What is current starter sectors.. anyone know?
like difficult games. But what is difficult on getting instakilled? Fight should be difficult, but with chance to win.
The procedural generation applies only to most star systems outside of "the bubble" (inhabited space). Anyway, there is no such as thing as "a system where you could start" since that could be every system. Every system has the same difficulty, there is no easy or hard system. It's the same everywhere. Also the amount of NPC's is the same everywhere. There is no system where you could say, that you are less likely to get interdicted there by NPC' pirates.
Don't know what you're trying to say here.
-------
What exactly are you getting killed by? What ships and at what combat rating are they? (Mostly Harmless, Competent, Deadly, etc.)
Every sector has the possibility to offer missions of any difficulty, and I find it better this way. This gives players of varying degress of experience (or ships) a chance to do something worthwhile without having to travel 50 systems away to do something that is.
The thing is, you need to pay attention to the descriptions of the missions you're attempting to take. If you're expecting to be able to do a mission that invovles you killing a target with a payout of 100+k with a Sidewinder, you have another thing coming.
I had Cobra mk3 with good fitting. (one my friend played it long time ago, stopped.. I have fitting as he told me to do.. he made milionz of credit from bounties in it).
Is there any log where I can see what npc killed me.. etc? like in Eve? some kilboard?
Kind of. I wouldn't nessecarily call it a log per se, but you can get an idea. Typically right before an interdiction, you should be getting a message in your chat log from the NPC who's planning to do the dirty deed. (Look on the top left.) When that happens, look at his name; his name should then be logged into your "Contacts" tab, and it should be telling you what kind of ship it is. Scanning only determines the combat difficulty and their wanted status. (And I think their sub-targets, not sure.)
Thing is, I'm riding a Cobra too, but I'm not getting killed off as fast as you say you are. In my Sidewinder I was, but defeintly not the Cobra. I don't know my equipment ratings off the top of my head, but all together my re-buy cost is about 50k.
That's why I wanna invest in heavy shielding but a combat and exploration capable vessel, the cobra looks good. At least better than the sidewinder.
What weapons you use on Cobra? I have 2x lasers on gumballs and 2x autocannons..
Thanks for tips guys :)
But I still dont understand how all sectors have same difficulty, when there are start zones.. and if starter zones are full of people with sidewiders.. how they can fight against npcs with better equipment? Or What if I have cobra and more diffculty? Maybe its about missions and rewards? More reward = bigger difficulty?
I know that missions have different difficulties, based on reward and maybe that conflict zones are maybe rated by difficulty by their names? or its total random?
I think I will swap to sidewinder or eagle and start doing courier missions untill get some money.. im now on like 5000cr :)
Thanks
edit: HexCaliber - well it was 10-15 sec.. max. I was able to retract weapons and fire one batch. He shot one batch I got shields off and 60%hp.. then second batch and I was dead :)
Name was like.. Seddon or something like that :)
Obviously you should stay away from strong signal sources and hazardous resource extraction sites etc. which may spawn high skilled and strong enemies. But in supercruise pretty much every system is the same and it's just bad luck if an npc python or anaconda with a master or elite skill interdicts you.
That would literally kill the game! Why the heck would you want that?
