What are the benefits of CQC?
Excuse me if this was answered before or if it's somewhere obvious. Very obvious. I am tired so i am not looking hard...
What i want to ask is if CQC has any positive benefits on lets say.. your reputation with a faction. Can it earn you promotions for factions? Maybe get you points with the faction leaders you pledged to? Anything at all?

It is seperate from the main game, but it can hone your combat skills, you can find it fun and to pass the time, and it does add a "pick up and play" PVP which many people wanted and like.

So it is just personal stuff really, and CQC scoreboards.

its really just pointless fluff, best to avoid it and stick to the main game.

Well I guess it's something that had to be added in game in order to be attractive to XBox players who may prefer more fast paced action ? as many complain that in game PvP is sometimes hard to find or get ?

Also I guess (I never played it yet myself though) it allow you to actually do something if you have a 30 minute gaming available in front of you... cause in space, 30 min will get you near nowhere ?

Garbage added to Elite to appease CoD style players and small playtime killer I would think, Though the last time I tried it took more than 20 minutes to get a game.............

You do get some money in the main game for playing CQC, though it's not a huge amount.

I don't really understand why other comments here disparage it so much though, some people enjoy the arena combat style. It's not my cup of tea, but I'm not going to look down on someone for liking it. Besides, maybe I'll want a distraction every now and then while out on my next exploration loop.

I have to disagree with you there.

CQC Is a great fun little side mode which earns you a little pocket change in the game, and eventually a system pass (with possibly other benefits) if you get good enough.

Best for whom? And why do people dislike, and attack, CQC so much?

It's the people who are bad at combat and are afraid to let their ships go boom like CQC demands. I suspect they don't like the brutality of it.

Its a gimic to appease the xbox squeekers, so that they may have their daily dose of blowing things up.

I like all those "I know everything" guys here.

1. It gives you small amount of credits for a main game as someone already mentioned.

2. You get rank recognition in your personal tab.

3. When you get max rank you will be awarded a permit to an exclusive system.

Lastly, I feel like all those who complain about CQC are just those solo mode trading players who hate to be challenged.
