We've done that before in our squadron, and honestly, not one of those players is still playing. Because they got a sum of credits, bought a Conda thinking it's the best ship in the game and get destroyed by a few novice NPC's. Then not have the money to re-buy anything but a Sidewinder because they literally blew it all on said Conda.
Learn the game, learn the ships and work your way up if they're new. If they're experienced then credits aren't hard to find.
But as people have said, credit-wise - it's generally faster just to build a decent ship with it's own 'credit-gathering-niche' o7
remember i got invited to a wing and got like 50 million when i started let me try everything i wanted without really worrying about needing to grind to get like a fully fitted vulture for combat etc
True but you can do 4-5 ground conflict zones now on foot and make 50-60 million.
For materials, they just need a collector limpet to go to HGEs, a trip to Jameson for encoded, and a trip to a crashed Conda for raws. A couple of material trades later and they'll have everything they need for 3-4 ships.
BTW I posted a few months back that it seemed like teaming up with a cmdr who has certain engineers unlocked will also unlock them all for a new player. E.g. Selene Jean and 3-4 others. I proved this a couple of days ago with a brand new alt.
Flying a conda without rebuy is not knowing how to play loll
I'm in a team of three now, made 600 million in an hour fighting thargoids. It's something you work your way up to - if you could do it when you first load the game, you'd skip hundreds of hours of other varied content.
Fancy trying your hand at exobiology? I cut a tour short recently and came back to the bubble. We'll be going back out again the weekend after the Mandalay update.
The pay $$$ to use the Mandalay update coming soon or the pay in game credits to use the Mandalay coming 3 months later?
Probably 1st or 2nd of Nov... Unless it's mandelayed again
