Rough loadout:
Engineered military hull (grade 5)
Engineered thrusters (grade 5, dirty)
Guardian hull and module reinforcements (this is where the Krait excels over similar ships)
5x modshards
3x heat sink
1x advanced xeno scanner
(you will need to bind a convenient button or key to launching a heatsink, that is a must.)
Wait around near a wrecked titan for a cyclops to show up, let them engage with other AX pilots, scan then target and destroy each heart individually. Back away when the thing starts shooting at you! You don't need to worry about it's shields with 5 modshards, they go right through.
After you destroy the cyclops, you're done - heatsinks will be all gone. No real need for caustic sinks because three salvos from the weapons will generate enough heat to burn off the caustic substance.
I was literally about to say something along these lines...
The pre-built ships are only worth it if you're too lazy to play the game and earn the credits and do the engineering yourself. In every single case (someone correct me if I'm wrong) building the ship yourself will get you better results.
Personally, I feel like if you need to buy a ship to "skip the grind" then you're probably better off going to play another game instead. "The Grind" as people like to call it is actually the game. So if you need to pay to skip that... well, you basically just paid $25 or more to get something you could have gotten in an hour of play, and you'll essentially still be doing the same thing you'd be doing if you hadn't.
The Stellar versions are not a match for a fully customized ship, but they're decent and better than starting from scratch.
The usefulness of ARX ships is situational. The non-stellar versions may be better. They're not as costly.
Like most package deals, you get something useful and something bleh thrown in.
For example, the new AspX jumpstart starts with something like 60-70ly of range out of the box. That's not bad. But it is situational.
I'm not sure if the Python MkII or Type 8 is worth buying right now but if someone wants one it's up to them to decide.
Or they do and they want you to play it, even if you bought a ship for RL money. It's also hard to scream "pay-to-win" when the ships you paid for will get trounced by a properly outfitted one. It could be a deliberate choice for all we know, is what I'm saying.
