Question about Odyssey
So, I've started playing again after almost a couple of years and I'm thinking about buying Odissey and was wondering how really big the whole client is now (the 75gb on the steam page for the dlc alone seems...strange...).
Now...reading around, seems to me the actual live version of Horizon (around 52gb) is in fact also Odyssey, just without access to the expansion specific content. Am I correct? If not, how much bigger is the whole client? (I wouldn't want another 100+gb client for a game that i would probably not play daily, as much as I loved it in the past)

My Odyssey install is about 53GB. If you have Legacy installed as well, that's another 20GB (ish).

You have to manually download legacy via the launcher though, if anyone really wants it. And steam immediately deletes it again whenever there's an update to the main game

Does it? I've got Legacy installed on a separate drive using sim links for the Epic client (installs legacy by default instead because... I don't know... Idiocy?). That doesn't get removed.

I only have Legacy installed at all, because if I delete it: Epic downloads it again every time there's an update... :steamfacepalm:

Steam apparently clears out any 'stale' files from the install folder. This includes Legacy.

AFAIK the live version keeps being redownloaded after every update if you delete it because you're only interested in Legacy, not the other way around. Or at least it used to be that way months ago.

Not with Epic unfortunately. It's the default, and always gets re-downloaded on update if it's been removed.

Steam doesn't do it since they made Odyssey/Live the default. I know this because I used to delete it every time Epic reinstalled it, and I let Steam do the update first.

Apparently Steam doesn't see the sim linked Legacy folder on my machine... Doesn't touch it.
